Counselling only works with a strong therapeutic relationship between yourself and your counsellor. This takes some time to build, but booking a consultation is a great way to get an initial sense of whether you think our personalities will mesh and to ask any questions you may have…or to just let us know that you’re not sure about this whole therapy thing, but you’re curious! We want you to feel confident in your choice.

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELLING

Bespoke offers three different Individual Counselling Sessions to ensure you get precisely the support you need. We offer 30-minute, 50-minute, and 80-minute sessions, and we promise to always be completely transparent about whether we think you could benefit from a shorter or longer session. We don’t want to keep you any longer than you need!

30-Minute Sessions: These sessions are designed to provide you with solutions. Your counsellor will primarily use Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), which is aimed at quickly solving problems and helping you identify solutions in your life. It is rooted in positive psychology and helps you sort out what is already working in your life so that you can figure out how to build from there.
50-Minute Sessions: These sessions are specifically designed for individuals who are looking to embark on internal growth and long-term, sustainable change. They are aimed at gaining a thorough understanding of who you are, how you came to be, and where you want to go. Your counsellor will use a combination of a number of different counselling approaches in order to create the perfect blend just for you. These include any combination of the following:

80-Minute Sessions: These sessions are perfect for those extra tough phases of life. They are designed to give you the extra time you need to work through your concerns when 50 minutes just isn’t enough. Your counsellor may occasionally recommend that you extend your 50-minute session to an 80-minute in the event that you are especially distraught, a critical topic comes up at the end of session, or where the safety of yourself or someone else are a concern.

COUPLES COUNSELLING

Couples counselling is a type of therapy designed to help partners improve their relationship by addressing communication issues, learning to effectively resolve conflicts, and enhancing emotional connection. We welcome and are experienced and competent in supporting 2SLGBTQI+ couples, as well as heterosexual couples. The therapist works with the couple to explore the challenges they face, help them understand each other’s perspectives, and develop healthier ways of interacting. Whether dealing with a difficult phase of the relationship or preparing to embark on a new phase, the goal is to strengthen the relationship, build trust, and foster a deeper bond between partners. Couples counselling can also be highly beneficial in the event of separation or divorce by learning how to part ways respectfully and amicably.
Bespoke offers two different Couples Counselling Sessions with up to 2 participants for each. We offer 50-minute and 80-minute sessions, and we promise to always be completely transparent about whether we think you and your partner could benefit from a shorter or longer session. We don’t want to keep either of you any longer than you need!

50-Minute Sessions (2 participants): A supportive therapy designed to help partners improve communication, resolve conflicts, address challenges, deepen their understanding of each other, and work towards a healthier, more fulfilling partnership. Whether you're navigating specific issues or seeking general support, couples counselling provides a safe space for growth and reconnection.
80-Minute Sessions (2 participants): An extended session with all the same benefits of 50min, while providing you with extra time to process those especially difficult phases of partnership.
50-Minute Sessions (1 participant): Sometimes issues come up that require one or both partners to work through them individually. This session allows you to sit down one-on-one with your therapist - without your partner present - to allow for complete transparency and support. Whether you're navigating specific issues or seeking general support, this session provides a safe space for growth and reconnection with your partner, as well as with yourself.
80-Minute Sessions (1 participant): An extended session with all the same benefits of 50min, while providing you with extra time to process those especially difficult phases of partnership.

FAMILY COUNSELLING

Family counselling is a type of therapy designed to help families improve their relationship by addressing communication issues, learning to effectively resolve conflicts, and deepen understanding of one another's perspectives and experiences. At Bespoke, a 'family unit' does not require that everyone (or anyone) be biologically related. Families come in all shapes, sizes, and from all walks of life, so if you consider these people your family, then so do we! The therapist works with the family to explore the challenges they face, help them empathize with one another's experiences, and develop healthier ways of interacting. Whether dealing with a difficult phase of the family relationship or preparing to embark on a new phase, the goal is to strengthen the family dynamic, build trust, and foster a deeper bond amongst family members. Family counselling can be highly beneficial in events such as separation, divorce, grief, or trauma, as well as events such as 'empty nesting' (a period in a parent's life when their children have left the family home).

We offer 50-minute and 80-minute sessions, and we promise to always be completely transparent about whether we think you and your family members could benefit from a shorter or longer session. We don’t want to keep you any longer than you need!

Whether you're navigating specific issues or seeking general support, family counselling provides a safe space for growth, empathy, and understanding.
